Bit of a pickle,

Looking group 2 arches but im unsure as to what width to get!?

1.75" or 2.5"??

The car will be running on 6x10's....so which width do i need!?

Pictures would be great lol!

Mine has group 2 race arches, the wheels are 6x12 i think

You need the wide type of group 2s.
Or alternatively, fit downtown group 5 areches.

they type of brakes you have (disks or drums) will alter how much your wheels stick out

are the grp 2 races from minisport, the 3.5" arches. in that picture, to me, the arches look way too big

At a guess i suppose he was doing a cooper s conversion to fit 6x10 wheels. And my crystall ball this time was right! lol

2" wide are Gp5. Gp5 regs were much freer in the modifications allowed than Gp2, ie 8 port heads. The wheel arches were allowed to be extended 2". This led at the time to an arguement as to where the measurement on a mini was to be taken, at the widest part of the arch or the widest part of the car.

Anyone got pictures of the group 2 narrow ?

I fancy those but can't decide between them and WP originals which look
(almost) the same but a little classier having the screws hidden as they do.

i'm running 6x10 wellers and can't decide what arches will go, kinda heading towards group 2's but didn't realise there were
different types, i'm running on drums at the moment.

which ones would you guys recommed?

The one's have in the picture are Gp 2 Wides from Minisport. When thay are fitted for real, I will be using a rubber strip between the body and arch.

They still need a bit of sanding on the edges to the body as "from the mould" they are not "exact".

I may also trim the outer edge a little to reduce the overall width but I will wait until I am a little further on to check the exact sizing.

As my woodwork teacher used to say, "you can always take a bit more off lad, but you can't put it back on once you've gone too far"!
