great work mate how did you find sparaying as im thinking of attempting it myself how many coats did you do also what size are your new wheels and what arches are they thanks ross
i found the spraying pretty easy, its the prep that takes forever, i give it 6 coats and it will have another 6 clear on top.
the wheels are 12x6 im not sure of the arches as i had them given to me

every thing was taken down to the metal and etched before primering.
only things to sort now is some new door skins which i hope to pick up at malven.
i would love to get paid for this spraying lark, just hate the prep work. already got 4 people offering me a decent amount of money to do theirs

General question: when a whole mini is taken back down to bare metal, sealed & painted properly and rebuilt, how long will it stay rust-free?

i think it all comes down to how well its treated, i.e not going out on salty roads etc but this is my daily drive and a mini is there to be used not tucked away for winter but it will have a weekly wash and hose down to remove any salt etc

they are alot narrower than i thought. few little brackets to weld up and their sorted, they are sitting about an inch lower since the pics which has made all the difference and the driving position is great, well for people of my size etc and im the only one who drives it
