Hi folks,

Simple question, what's the trick in refitting the rear window, I'm getting frustrated! It's not glass, it's either polycarbonate or perspex, not sure which. I've a feeling it'll be simple if I can attack it the proper way, but what is the 'proper' way?

Exactly the same as you would with the front screen.

Fit rubber to car.
Fit window into rubber starting at the bottom and stretching the rubber over the window.
Fit filler strip.

It is a bit harder with plastic windows as they flex but is still easy. If you need any sort of lubricant to help ease the rubber over the glass then just use a mix of screenwash and water.

im bringing up a dead topic but having a nightmare off a time fitting my rear screen, front was no problem as was sides but rear it keeps sliding off the car!

you can get the proper tool its a bit like your grannys crochet hook to look at
the tricks are plenty of lube as the tool will then slide round the aperture easily
perspex windows are harder to fit as they want to pull back to flat as you try and go round the curve of the window aperture
ive found that getting the bottom edge in first then up one side, push the screen firmly down and across so it fully engages with the rubber then work the top in and finally the last side
on a good day i can fit one myself in three mins on a bad day it takes two of you quite a bitt longer and a load of cussing

iv got the fillet tool but the rubber for some reason the rubber doesnt want to stay on the lip in the car! got the front done easy

hi there i have had problems with this as well best thing i found was to check that is the same size as the glass that came out and then trim 5mm off the bottom then retryand if still tight trim 5mm off one side then should fit hope this helps
