I currently have a 2" Big bore system on my 1.3 1979 mini. I was just wondering if i could just change the rear part of the exhaust to make it quieter and keep the manifold as I need this when fitting the Servo on it soon.

Only reason really is that its mega loud and a couple of my boyfriend's neighbours aint loving it when I leave for work at 6.30am in the mornings when I got the choke on.

Any advice would be much appreciated

you can just change the exhaust separate from the maifold.

you could try fitting a centre section silencer as well if you dont have one already, i have a singel box system and can be quite loud.

that would be ideal - are they available from most mini parts places?

the RC 40 system has a centre box which makes quite a bit of difference without any significant loss of power. Mini Spares sell them and they are easy to fit. However, if your Mini has lowered suspension they do sit a bit close to the ground. The alternative is a 'cherry-bomb' additional centre silencer box as made by Maniflow - see their web site for stockists.
