Model: Flame Red
Year: 1989

My neighbour (the one who used to have minis and STILL has an 1100 engine buried in his garden - must go digging soon...) popped round with these babies and some other stuff in a bag. I like my neighbour. :)

They're Veglia Borletti 12v electric gauges.
No idea if they work and I don't have matching senders for them.
Presuming that they are "Oil Pressure" and "Water Temp".

The rim has a little bit of pitting, but some black paint should fix that.

But more importantly, I'm wondering whether I can use them or not...?

If you can find the matching senders you probably can make these work. Do not waste your time trying to fit them and connect them to the Mini's Smiths senders.

Veglia gauges were used on most Fiat, Lancia, and Alfa cars I've seen. Perhaps posting those pictures on a Fiat message board would help you identify their original application so you know which senders to buy.

Thanks Doug. I had a feeling it that was the general situation. :)
Italian forums, prepare to meet daemonchild!

Edit: If this doesn't look good, I'll ebay them and use the funds to get Smiths ones.
