isnt the reason for seamless tubing so you can get the same strength in a smaller diameter than normal tubing?

ps ollie was thinking about spraying the city orange and detail with cf

yesterday i pulled out the dash, looms, heater matrix,, steering colum and various surrounding brackets
and today i pulled out the complete engine (minus gear box because it was already out) front subframes, steering rack and wisbones as one complete unit
had a bit of a problem with a couple the (even with my impact gun) subframe mounting bolts, so out came the blow torch




the engines now in it nice (sorta) warm home in the garage
NEXT JOB: cut out the mini's back floor!

your not kidding that its a big engine and it hasnt even got the gear box on it, i think its gonna be about as wide as the oppening that i've cut out!!!!!!!!!

also managed to persuade my boss to lend me one of the migs from work, full size trade migs way shed loads, and then i had to try and carry the bottle, full size and three quarter full, ouch!!!!!
hopefully i'm gonna persuade him to let me buy it off of him, because its not used at all really, and its just gathering dust in the corner of the workshop

also done a bit of painting on the front, luverly black hamerite

240v yes but it uses a 32amp big plug!!! having to get my old man to wire up the garage early (building massive three story extension at the mo) so that i can use it, he's threatend me with a coin meter in line
