Take a look at MOSS. They have just released a kit for £150. Looks very comprehensive and being MOSS should be a quality piece of kit.

you can fit H4 xenon filled bulbs if you have the right glass fronts, (if you have the original sealed beams you'll need to buy new fronts/lenses (about 30 squid))

Just did a search on ebay for halogen conversion kits and theres a few on there that fit classic 7" lights .. That come with the Xenon bulbs. Around £30 mark for the kit.

So you dont have to buy anything else apart from the bulbs themselves and the wipac quadoptic headlights, and that should work?

the wpiac quadoptics from minispares are the halogen conversion headlights. they come with halogen bulbs
but in order to run them as xenons just buy the appropriate xenon bulb for them and jobs a good'un
believe minispares stock both of the things..but haven't check in a while

For the reflector style headlights you have to have either the bulb moving, or a lens moving to change the beam pattern to make them road legal, you will also need self leveling headlights and headlight washer jets to also make the HIDs legal

Xenon bulbs do not make Xenon headlights! They are just 'look-a-like' Xenon! Yes - they may have a tiny amount of Xenon in them - but they are NOT the real Xenon hedalights - which as has been pointed out require the self levelling and the washers.

The issue with retro fitting HID lamps to any car is surrounded in confusion...some brand new cars aren’t fitted with a auto wash system as it states for them to be legal but still have HID lamps fitted! it's all very complicated and contradictory. If the headlamps are out of alignment they will fail the mot...but that goes for any type of headlamp! The only legal way to have HID headlamps is if they are fitted at the factory by the factory. No off the shelf HID lamp is type approved! Most kits do comply with all the E approvals but not type approval. You would have to be doing something silly in your car to get pulled over by the police or the headlamps out of aim thus dazzling oncoming traffic. Mine have been on for 6 month and one mot now without any problems.
