Hi,

Needing some guidance on how to clean up the valves and chambers on a head I have (By chamber I mean the valve area, the odd heart shapes called chambers?)

What should I use, a wire brush on a drill? Will this not damage or leave marks?

Also should I take out the valves and clean them and then the chambers?

Thanks

Are you just taking the coke out of the chambers? I wouldn't use a wire wheel. Use a little flap wheel on a slow drill or use some sand paper and elbow grease lol.

Yup just the coke, I think with the chambers I'll get away with scrubbing with petrol? or white spirit?

What about the valves?

Thanks

I very lightly use a stanley blade BUT ONLY LIGHTLY, to hard and you dig into the valve face, then clean them up with wire wool, I also use a small wire wheel to clean the chambers, you can buy them from halfords, machine mart etc.
