I've been driving her pretty much as my main car at the moment but had a few problems!
repainted the roof
before
after
now flatted down ready fir the next coat
and this happened to the windscreen on Monday
i forgot to do the front straps up as i.got distracted by my dads bike (another project)
got quoted £190 to change it by autoglass! haha
so picked upna now screen for 55 and took 15mins to fit it so a nice easy fix! :)
i wasn't that bothered as it needed replacing due to weld splatter and grinding spark holes, plus it was ruining my wiper blades!
so that's about it really, pretty painless now she's back on the road, needs a new clutch soon and some new wider arms as someone decided to steal one but that's about it!
hope you like this little.update, pop to any other projects as ill be adding my dads bike on up sometime soon (84 reg yamaha fj1100 which has been off the road fir 7 years)

I tried using her for a month straight during july,it started off fine but then things got slowly worse
First i got her some new aero wipers which are great once youv been using then for a while
had to trim them a bit but now the swept area is almost full screen
Then i treated her to some new plugs as the old ones leaked slightly
Then it got bad, this happened on the way home from the pub
Headgasket had gone
New exhaust got fitted which is lovely and loud
And did a bit too much waxoyling haha
And finally i forked out on an aux fan to stop her overheating in traffic
As she stands at the moment shes only doing 25ish mpg which sucks, has to be bump started sometimes as the alternator is playing up and i cant seem to find the time or money to do anything on her. Plus the headgasket may be going again which is just plane annoying.
Well theres my update

However before I bring her back into service I've got a few plans for her :)
In the past few year the acoustic fabric covered interior has begun to look extremely shabby unfortunately, so my plan is to go with the theme of the seats and dash and go for a carbon and suede interior!
That's the look I want to go for :)
Suede wrapped dash
I've also purchased a carbon wrapping kit, this I plan to use for my dash binacle and possibly to cover the door furniture in
Also got these lights on order
Other bit and bobs have been ordered too, new gearstick cover, floor mats etc.
I'll make a new update soonish when I get some work done, hope people like the new theme.

My parts have all arrived finally :) glad I ordered them nice and early before Christmas :)
Parts ordered:
Deep dish omp steering wheel-it's covered in suede to tie in with the carbon suede interior theme, hopefully the new horn button will fix the horn problem I have for the mot!
Faux suede+heat resistant glue - I intend to cover my door cards and top and bottom dash rails, this will go nicely with the theme. I also intend to glue my acoustic fabric headlining back onto the roof :)
New wiper park switch-the old one was rather corroded and the park part of if failed a long time ago, so I should have working wipers for the mot!
Pressed aluminium number plates- old ones are tatty and needed replacing, back one had welding burns so these should look nice
Mini lite stickers- so I can put my tatty centre caps back on my wheels, still need to paint the centre caps white tho and then put on the stickers
Carbon skinning kit- to cover the rubbish walnut dash binicle and glovebox cover
Black golf crosshairs headlights-to replace the old halogens, should make the front lights better too and go with the black and white paint theme
New floor mats-old ones are very worn, ill transfer the metal foot plates to the new ones
Leather handbrake and gear stick cover-again to refresh the tired interior of the car
Also ive got my insurance starting from next Friday :) mot booked for next Saturday!
I've got work now for the next 3 days, then two days of college then I'm off to my parents to do the work on her :)
So it's all looking up, fingers crossed nothing's broken in the time over been away from her, I'll check all the brake and engine functions when I go back home and grease the radius arms, top arms and check things are tip top for the mot!
Hope you like this little update, I'll have pictures going up next Thursday night as well as Friday and Saturday, the mot is booked for 9am Saturday which means if she does fail for any reason I can take her home and fix her up to get her retested in the afternoon! Hopefully all will go well!
New updates soon

Well she won't start which is a bit of a bugger, flat battery apparently so I set about doing other things
The car mats I'm replacing, they're a bit grim!
New plates to replace the nasty old ones
I fixed the wipers, took then entirely apart and regreased and rewired them :)
Also wrapped the top and bottom dash rails, god what a chore! I had it remove the windscreen to get the top rail out!
Put the screen back in and gave it a shine
That's all I've been up to really, it took alot of time to the suede wrapping, also my girlfriend came over which meant I had a little helper for some of the time :)
Also I worked out why she won't start, no fuel either as well as a dead battery!
Tommorows aims are, fit new lights, get car to start, roll her out of the garage and give her a mot check over :)
Hope you like the update

The mini is happily running again now, I forgot how loud she is haha, I do have a video but I can't upload it to photobucket for some reason
Also I've sorted out my crosshairs lights, and they look awesome!
Also sorted out the new front numberplate position :)
Also fixed the horn and the wipers, was a bad earth connection for the wipers but the horn was more difficult to fix, I've had to rewire it to a push button on the roof as opposed to the steering wheel, there a problem with my rotary coupler
Made a start on the carbon wrapping of the dash parts too
So yh the mini is now all ready to be moted :) here's a few picks of the finished beasty!
Hope you all like the new update :) fingers crossed for the mot tommorow!

Right then people, it's the end of November so I'll be driving again next month :) I've paid my insurance to start from Christmas Day (when I get my licence back)

Goood design ideas. If only I knew a Mini with them already..... Go for it dude! Glad to see my toy is providing some inspiration! :)
If only I'd known you wanted those lights. Im getting rid of mine as they were never fully fitted up. Went for Wipac Halogens instead in the end.
Also, I hope thats a genuine OMP wheel. Fakes are beyond dangerous.

Hmm was it your mini I may have got the ideas from? My bad haha! I did think they would go with my suede seats too :) and I assume so? It seems genuine, came in an omp box and looks like a good bit of kit, do you know how to tell if it's a fake?
Yup my dash/dashrails :) Not at all I take it as a compliment! Just looked too glossy to me. It should be a brushed finish. Mine is silver brushed and doesnt shine. Same goes for black on a mate has.
I strongly recommend you watch this video. Even if it is a real one
