Hey, good work matey. Im at the same stage with my 1991 cooper. I thought by getting a 1991 model the rust wouldnt be too bad. How wrong i was :S Anyway its coming along slowly. I think i might start my own thread, seems theres more people interested in projects than i thought.

keep up the good work fella :)

Thanks Zee. Im really pleased with how its coming along (slowly but surely!), I was also surprised by the amount of rust kitkat seemed to harbor.. most likely due to recycled metal that austin-rover used mid 80's to the end of production :(
Yeah go for it! I mean, its always good for people to comment and appreciate other people's work, just ignore the silly comments you often get ;)
:D

Also.. Just been away on Holiday.. so thats the reason there has been no progress or pictures... so hopefully more soon :)

Oh the dreaded water filling closing panels. Mine turned into a bit of a pain to fit but got them on in the end. Glad to see your making progress with kitkat :) Im off to patch up some of my floor today. Removed the soundproofing off the floor, and where the original factory holes are, they have got a little bit bigger with rust lol so gonna plate over them :)
