The root of the problem of these nuts coming loose, is that not many people have a torque wrench that goes to 150 - 180lbft and those that dont have them, don't realise how tight 150lbft is. so the nuts get tightened to what is felt to be tight enough, when in reality its not.

What tends to happen is the CV works around inside the bearings, wearing a groove in both parts....... you can tighten it all day and the simple action of driving down the road WILL now loosen your hub nut, the damage has been done, invariably you WILL require a new CV joint, wheel bearing kit, cone washer, nut & split pin........ you may need a new hub and a new drive flange as well
Once stripped down check for ANY slackness in the bearing to CV joint, you will also be able to feel or even see the "step" or "groove" in the CV joint if it is worn

I had this all the time then eventually the other day the hub nut stripped the thread and the pin was all that was holding it on. I would be tightening it every few days. It cant be coming lose because the pin is stopping that just like mine was, its most pobably a new cv joint and all should be good, take a good look at the thread on it.
