There is only really one option open for the MPI where programable ECU's are concerned and that is Megasquirt with the latest siamese coding. The only other possable option is CANEMS, oh and perhaps Polestar, but Megasquirt is closer to the mark on price :shifty:

Sprocket, I've read some of your posts, both on here and on EFi minis and seen what you've done with your SPi. I'm interested in another ECU, but to be honest am a bit of a ludite about things electrickery. I've looked up megasquirt on Google and (its probably me!) but it could just lead to further confusion. Is there a website/thread that puts things into laymans terms i.e. explains wideband sensors, siamese coding etc etc?

Cheers,

Graham

Go on Mike - do it yourself! It's not that hard to make a decent improvement over the standard flow. All I did was buy a copy of Vizard's book and a Dremel! There's no difference in the head of the carb car and the injection ones (in terms of flow). There's a good feeling of satisfaction goes with it too.
If I can get my hands on a knackered old block I'd have a crack at making my own flowbench, but they're bloody hard to get hold of!
So much for simple tuning, eh sambarnes!!!

surely its not that simple :teehee:

I think I might be looking for a second hand MPi head then :teehee: and a copy of vizards

This is what I'd like to make. I've got an MPi head (which came off the car) which I'm probably going to port, hopefully for a supercharged injection engine I want to build. Hence the interest in the other ECUs :teehee:

Hi there guys Iam from a performance silicone hoses company. we will be producing the top AND BOTTOM hoses for the MPI minis in Silicone. they will be produced in either blue or red. i will be offering a lower introductory price, as they will be coming on to the market at a price of £169 for both top and bottom by new year, but this would make a good present for anyone who wants quality, performance or concours. they will look fantastic.

message me guys.

Andy.
