take the rear seats out and youll see the mounting holes. my car is a 1980 and therefore does not have rear seatbelt mounts. if you dont have them youll have to drill holes and get mounts welded in.

i think that the reel part is bolted inside the rear bins and the part with the guide hole is bolted to the rear pillar between the back and quarter windows and the buckles just bolt in near the middle

off topic but what wheels u got on the cooper (12"?), like em alot!

i guess its the reals you don't know what to do with

the other mounts should be in the car

for the real i drilled a hole through the wheel arch at a point where the real was in a up right position

i then used a large plate on the back to help spread the load

i showed my MOT man what i had done and he was happy and has passed it many times at MOT time

how does the seat belt restrain you?

in the typical fashion like the fronts or are they different because i see the seatbelts going up but where to?

and then what restrains you horizontally?

Cheers

the belt has 2 other mounting points, 1 on the rear pillar and the other on the seat side of the bins so it works the same way as any other belt

Think you need a plate welded to the C pillar...
Will try to find the ref. number after work if you want?
