Just read through the whole thread! (Took about an hour or two, at least) XDIm sorry that you've had soo many problems! Well, restoring minis are a gable really. Some are rather cantankerous and those cars do cause problems. But ahh well! How much you selling it for?
Onto land rovers
What you getting? Get one of the rover v8 versions if you dont care about mpg, and trust me my uncle had a sd1 back in the day and got an average of 5mpg for the 3.5 (talk about co2 emissions)!!! Although, a diesel is a sensible approach
