is the bias regulator something that just drum braked minis have? (drums all round)

i dont have one on the back, but i suppose i do have a servo which makes braking easier.

whats making them break all the time scott, (no pun intended)

Disc brake cars have them on the bulkhead.

Ben

haha, i just thought of it now and came back to the topic to edit my post lol :(

really *drunk* off right now!!

just been down to the MOT station AGAIN!! and the emmission are that far out its broke the machine!

they told me it could be one of three things

Ignition
compression
carb

cant be the ignition because its brand new and tested.

im going to compression test it a s a p

and im going to put the standard needle in the carb.

if it still doesnt work then im guna do 1 of 2 things

either change the engine for one i know will pass the emmissions

or burn the car..

which one right now, i dont care!!

Just put the standard needle back in the carb, and theres virtually nothing coming out the back end now... took him round the block and seems to run ok, just a little stuttery...

As many of you now know, iv been having a lot of problems with my cars emmissions.

Well, today iv been down to the MOT station for them to tinker with and sorted it.

Emmissions read as follows:
Idle speed - pass
Smoke level - pass

(idle test)
CO - should be under 4.5 % mine are 0.73%
HC - should be under 1200 mine are 146 (ppm vol)

AAAND my brakes will pass the test too

so as you can imagine, im in a very good mood right now

Right

went to the MOT station and put him through the MOT.. flow through

However, he failed on a silly bit of body work that i had not noticed, its already been patched but the person who did it hadnt welded it along one side, so getting that welded up tomorrow, and taking him back down on friday

oh, and two clips the hold the brake pipe to the bottom of the car had snapped, so iv put some new ones on.
