might have time saturday for a drive mate, got a right jumble tho, moving dads mk1 down here, my sprite into the garage at my grandmas then my sisters is being taken to be sprayed at avit motorsport (we know the owner)
gonna be a right mess and i havnt driven effy in ages now, need to sort out her running aswell, getting too much air into the engine me thinks

any luck with beer yet? i think im more excited than you are

Doing the new carb this weekend, nearly ready to go on

managed to get my air filter to fit on the new carb.. bit of cutting and shouting.. sorted!... its only a temp solution untill i can afford the proper filter.

going to make the bonnet risers tomorrow..

Im using some steel I have, clean it up, cut it to shape.. lovely jubbly haha

Right then you lot

Got the manifold on, took abit of jiggery pokery, and a little grinding BUT its on now.

i put the carb on to see how much clearance i have, answer? NONE!! haha, so ill need to raise the bonnet 1 and a half inches to clear the air filter.

also, i have to move the bar i had made that goes across the engine bay, because it goes straight throught the middle of the carb!! haha

you can see from the pictures the problem i am having with the bar...

Take that bar off laddeh!

Make some brackets for your hinges to raise it, or wack an Era scooop on it.

Going to take the bracket off tomorrow.

Along with making some raisers.. i will eventually get an ERA scoop, cant afford one at the minute though
