The panel where you have the hole by the airvent mine has the same
Do you know what that panel is called

Not sure, i think its part of the inner wing... or the scuttle?

ok, done a bit more work on the bulk head/ dash board

took off the remaining parts of the vents (with a hammer) to find that there is a little more rust then i first thought.

also, iv took the rear bumper off, and yet again, rust!!

erm... oh took the back box off, then fired him up..... :thumbsup: loud muchly!!

took out the Smiths, including the oil pressure guage, forgot i have done this when i fired him up, luckly only a tiny bit of oil came into the car.

a little concerned however, about the scuttle, looking up at them from the holes, they look a little curroded...

ill let the pictures do the talking!

im going to go and pick up the new heads on the 17th!!

quite happy with what i have got done today, i know its not much, but hey... :)

haha my thougts exactly... the srews werent coming out anyway.. so i had to hit them!! :D


the rust can be sorted soon... now i know what needs doing i can get on with it

The air vent panel is called flitch I think bought 2 for mine :D

Oh and project is looking good now i think im buying the same type seats you had in it :thumbsup:

haha, yeah, think im going to make my own panels lol

not sure on the seats im going to use in him yet... i want retro, but would love to be able to use harnesses :thumbsup:

Its the flitch repair panel also. As someone said above.

I welded my air vents up as I took my heater out - well didnt take it out, couldnt fit it back in with the massive turbo box I had made myself :thumbsup: lol
