Check your lead, distributor cap and rotor arm, they would be the first things I would check
OK, started doing the brakes yesterday.. but i have been given the wrong bloody part, the right one is coming tomorrow.. and dad is off tuesday/wednesday, brakes then!!
Just been out to wire up my clocks.. failed! cant remember where all the bulbs go.
And 2nd cylinder isnt firing again!.. took out all the sparkies and cleaned them, still nothing.. but the anoying thing is, that 2 minutes before he was firing fine! the number 2 dropped out!
not a clue what it oculd be, so ill ask dad.. im thinking points etc.. duno though..
anyway, updates later on in the week

Personally I would run silicone, bit more expensive but worth itIll have a look
what are the best HT leads to run them on.. copper or silicone?

To check whether or not it is the lead swap it with one of the other ones that is ok, so if you take lead off number one and then number does'nt fire you know it is the lead at fault, but if there old leads you are better of replacing the complete set even if you have one lead that is faulty as chances are at some point in the future the others will start to give you problemsok.. i have them on the car now
but i think they need renewing, got them second hand, and i dont know how old they are..
just need to get number 2 back up and working
