New section clamped in place and spot drilled
welded in place and cleaned up
repair needed on r/h rear arch to bulkhead
repair section made a drilled ready for plug welding
welded in and cleaned up
He did find some more pitting under the old paint work on the windscreen surround and lip so thats all been cleaned out and treated.
Off to Himley tomorrow with Dad to buy lots of goodies so will pop over to the TMF stand and say hello.

But many of you will not have noticed this as this was a bigger distraction
Pretty awesome day and seen lots of minis which have given me even more ideas as what to do to mine.Went around getting quotes for interiors and parts too which I will need in the future. Was disapointed there wasn't the guy who was selling the nut and bolt kits at bingley hall as i wanted some
Anyway we came back with this lot
And inside the bags...
Lots and lots of bits and have more coming in the post as they did'nt have it all there.Still got some heritage door skins to come and adjustable bottom arms plus some random little pieces.
Favourite part has to be these 4 pot callipers though
Shame the car has got a long way before any of this goes on though.

The bodge monster has reared his ugly head once again as i found out when i cut the l/h door step off.
This lot was under the step and oversill
and this what is left of the jacking point and its mounting structure
it didn't take too much effort to get off.
Well the door step is being a pain to fit very much like the other side
so more slicing and sectioning needed which is in progress. Hopefully i will get it finished tomorrow.

it makes me wonder what these rerair sections are based on somtimes as that is no where close.

although it does need a little bit more grinding and a skim of filler at least the contours are a better fit now, the only fly in the ointment now is i found some hidden rust along the bottom of the rear quarter panel so Scott has agreed to me replacing the rear quarter panels on both sides
That will leave the roof as the only panel that hasn't either been welded or replaced.

Got to wait for another four or five days before anymore work gets done on the car but dad is hoping to make some bits for it at work.

Will your dad move to Canada for a while and be my dad so that I can make this kind of progress on my project?

Will your dad move to Canada for a while and be my dad so that I can make this kind of progress on my project?
