We've got a Monte Carlo in black - 160 made in red, 40 in black.

100% original (minus speakers and headunit), until I replace some rusty panels / sills this week.

I have another famous mini. Phoenix is an Equinox in Amaranth Purple..

She is far from orginal now, but after 3 accidents (write offs) and the last owner had modified her, there was no point in trying. I've kept the orginal colour, sourced original decals and have kept the interior. I love her to bits and is special to me.. thats all that matters.

her major modification is the flip front:

It is.. I've saved her 3 times from the scrappy so it can't be bad... shes still a Limited edition, still on the road and loved by all who see her :dontgetit:.

Long live the LE's!!

I did put my foot in it at MITP this year. There was a lady who was selling what i would consider an Equinox (it was on a P reg and in amaranth purple) with cooper badges on it... she was stood right next to me when i was ranting my disgust of another LE being passed off as a cooper. oooops!

its the same with mayfairs and city's they turn them into cooper-lookalikes and pass them off as genuine 'coopers'.

Beat me to it Liz..Lol!

Please visit the site & help us make it the resource that we are aiming for it to be, there's info on each of the LE's and Registering only takes a Minute! :tumble:

have 'registered' but not got the e-mail :( what might have gone wrong ??? :(

Oh... Were you registering to use the forum or selecting your car details on the online form? What name was it under and I'll get checking behind the scenes.

I have a BOC by the way! And I can't find a model anywhere!!

Incidentally, if any of you would be willing to share your pics or give us approval to use them then we'd love to add some to our galleries.. Please forward them to [email protected] :D

i've got a british open classic and at first i was cautious about changing it, but apart from colours and decals there's hardly anything that sets most of the various LE's apart from eachother

Try the Mini LE Register?

Just a thought! :D :tumble:

http://www.mini-le-register.com/

The site's under construction but it takes you to the forum temporarily.

What's the drop down box on the front page supposed to do? Doesn't seem to do anything except pass the model into the URL.

The drop down box on the front page will show how many of each specific LE are registered in each area.

i.e: Mini Ritz when selected shows 2 in the South East and 1 in Yorkshire.

Do bare in mind that the site is under construction so any suggestions/critisisms are warmly welcomed.... (there is a discussion open HERE)

Gradually all the LE model information will be transferred over to the main site from the forum along with other 'static' data.

At present there are 3 members of the LE team working on bits and pieces (inc. the website) in their spare time but I'm always looking for people to help us out, even if it's just with getting the word out! :tumble:

I've got loads more pics to add to the LE galleries from recent shows and registered members and its looking good for the number still around of each model! :D

Her original bits are safely tucked away in my garage, away from the day to day use :D
