I have my friends Paul Smith here, 28,000 miles, which he owned from new, it came here out of a barn and has been here three years now. I'm supposed to be selling it for him, but think secretly he wants it lol. I Mot'd it, changed the battery, freed off brakes etc or whatever it wanted, but now the fuel pump is stuck. I took the tank out carefully, and wired the pump directly to a battery and tapped it to free it off, and reassembled it. The car started immediately, so I used to run it every week or so, but left it again, and guess what, it stuck again, so I haven't bothered with the Mot again, and won't until I have to start it for a viewing, and will get the test done for the next owner. I tried to convince him to hang on to it, but he seems to have moved on from it, possibly because it's been out of sight for so long? It's nice and original aside from a pair of added fogs, and he changed the steel spare for an alloy, it had a Play Mini cat back and lcb, but I put it back to standard when the lcb rotted through, much nicer now quieter.
I have a Cooper 35th Anniversary which i've owned from new, 64k, original body and interior except wheels diamond turned on the rim, and black centres instead of anthracite. The engine was bluprinted in the year of purchase, and enhanced since, to twin 1&1/2" SU's and a taylored harness utilising the SPI ECU still. Janspeed made me a stainless system too, from cat bypass back. I haven't used it since driving it to Germany and going to the Nurburgring, aside from a few local runs, and it's been mostly stored since 2005. When the engine was at it's best it could drive straight of the mph scale at 7k with it's 3.44:1 final drive from John Cooper Garages, but needs a new cam now which I have, just gets rest now, sleeping with a sheet over it in the garage since removing from a barn in 2009. I was going to show it again for Mini 50, but never did. I kept Mot'ing it, but have left that now too.

I have a Mini Park lane....some kind soul re-badged it as a Mini Silverstone (was a model in German). I intend to restore it back to (almost) standard, i.e I am leaving the Alloy wheels on. My issue is the original Park Lane interior is there....but he's painted the door cards black!....one day I may find a set of replacements! who knows!
Finally I am not a fan of Mini Park Lane stickers so intend to get some fitted to magnets! Then they can be removed after shows
