I have a red hot to but much like above is far from original, and never will be original. However I am trying to find a mini sprite or even a MK1 to restore for that original look!

I think theres such a thing of doing it up and keeping it 'original' but making a few personal touches!
I have a 1991 mini neon, it had those horrid chrome holey handles in it - I could have replaced them with the original plasic but I think they
look pretty naff so spend alot of money on some lovely chrome ones from mini spares!

I older minis look great original but the rover 1990's ones are pretty naff inside and often look great modified and done up!

Ive got a 1987 Park Lane LE which is completely original including hubs, interior and paint work :) (Although i have added stripes!) i plan on making a few small changes but nothing irreversible so if I do sell it I can offer all the original parts.

Here's some pics! (before the stripes, which are only vinyl by the way so they can be easily removed for the purists!)

Yup I guess when you get them up to par they stay immaculate for a long while after due to no rust :)

I like the look of your uncles very clean.

I have an Open Classic and it's as original as I can get it right now.

The only modifications that may be made are reversible ones, as I want to be able to (if i ever do) resell as an original. The only modification i've done so far is a period Moto-Lita MK4 steering wheel. I need some orange indicator lenses as the previous owner changed these, and some genuine sills fitted at some point as they fitted oversills. They also repaired the rear wheel arch at some point, badly, which now stops the rear card fitting correctly (Which he also snapped, before screwing and gluing into place. Bodge jobs everywhere!! It's now my job to restore the poor old girl to former glory! MOT on monday.. wish me luck! ^_^
