Not an LE but when I got my GT it was all original/standard as far as I'm aware... even as far as the stereo, and old man brown vinyl roof >_<

its nice to hear of sooooo many LE's!!! :)

As said - they probably made more LEs than non-LE Minis in the 80s (bad sales for Minis). Not surprising at all! :)

first off, they made nearly 500,000 minis in the 80's, some how i really don't think that most of them were LE's >_<

second....the full list of UK LE's

jan 1994 - mini cooper monte carlo le deacal pack
july 1994 - mini cooper monte carlo LE - 200 made

What's the difference between these two?

Also, the 200 was broken down - 140 in red and 60 in black.

the decal pack was an option available for standard 1.3i coopers, you would get stickers similar (not the same) to the later LE car but the interior would stay standard and you would have standard silver wheels, not black.

i included it in the list as some times the cars with the decal pack get confused for the later "full blown" limited edition. if i remember correctly, we thought that the car Raz bought may have had the decal kit fitted.

That explains why I've seen Monte Carlo decals on non-Monte Carlos! Cheers!

Nah you didn't, I was just saying in my opinion the more different the better! I do agree that yes, not all LE's should be modded, but lets face it, nobody enjoys trailer queens  Sorry if i reverse offended you?! lol

yes the mini scene is about being different but its also sometimes different to see a completly standard mini as so many of them are modified

i dont think theres any right or wrong to it. the important thing is there's a mini being kept on the road

Totally agree!
