Also any tips for painting in a space like the one you did your mini in? (heat? Ventilation? Plastic sheeting?)

Very nice
, When I eventually get a project I shall be doing all the bodywork, painting & welding myself... Did you save alot of money doing it yourself?
Also any tips for painting in a space like the one you did your mini in? (heat? Ventilation? Plastic sheeting?)cheers & keep up the good work
The money side of it definitely cheaper but so so much work, 1 thing you will need if painting 2k is correct breathing gear as it is toxic and no good for anything living! also having a detached garage is a big positive as it pongs! minimum size compressor of 200l for constant steady flow of paint.
I used gravity fed guns diffrent gun for top coat and primers, all the paints/thinners/gun cleaner and primers from the same manufacture, oil filled garage heater on timer so after priming/painting I used to heat the garage prior to painting and a few days after at around 25'c and only on dry days, plastic lined all the garage and wet down before paint to reduce dust specs on the paintwork, 90 percent of the work is done in prep / sanding priming. happy to help where i can

and even after all that it is a learing curve so practice as much as possible.
Thanks izzy also

Also did you filter the air feed to your air gun to remove any water/oil traces ? If not that's probaly the reason for those fish eyes...
