Ive gotten BMC Green paint in for people at Repco before, I'm pretty sure VHT do it in their engine paint series. Your local store wouldn't stock it, but they should be able to get it in. Its possible its in the Duplicolour brand, but I'm sure we do it. If you get stuck let me know and I'll find you a part number :gimme:.

Thanks mate, much appreciated. I thought I had seen BMC green in VHT Engine enamel before. I will get them to order some in then.

I see you are in Christchurch, hopefully you have come through the earthquakes ok, and family and friends are well.

that vht stuff is crap. not the right colour and really dull. and that por15 is crap aswell starts to burn and go brown after awhile . fyi road and track have the vht and the por15 stuff in stock

i want mine green but i dont feel like taking it all of to repaint it when it starts to look carp. might just go vht red but everyone has them red . so i dont know. there is only 2 branbs that do bmc green in nz and they are both no good . was thing of going and getting some flame proof clear from supercheap and trying it over the vht green see if it looks better

I got some of the VHT Green, masked the bits up and painted a few coats, and it is looking good. Just need to make my Airbox! Then I can get it in the car. So many other projects on at the moment tho before winter.

I guess that is why some people pay everyone else to do their work. In my case - I want to do it myself and it doesnt matter how long it takes.

Thanks. I am using the car quite a bit on a 100 mile each way trip going to work once or twice a week so have not progressed with getting the race motor in yet. It is fun driving it over the mountain range.

Sorry, have not been here for a while. The arches are Group 6s (I think) from Huddersfield Mini Spares.

I have the 1410 in the car now, complete with straight cut gears and a limited slip diff. It is fast!

However... have a problem, under low power the car is popping out of top gear. My gearbox guy thinks that the 1st motion shaft needs replacing, which is frustrating as he replaced this when it was rebuilt!

Anyone have any ideas of anything that may be an issue that doesnt involve removing the engine again?
