I doubt my car was one - if it is there is nothing left of it - other than maybe the lime green rocker cover.
see http://atsearch.auto...200928337747249
I have a Paul Smith label on the back window, wondered what it was there for, thought about scrapping it off
Looks the same as on this car for sale

If it was one of these -it is very rare. I am only missing the glovebox, badges, seats, denim toolkit,......... etc, but I do have the window sticker and green rocker cover!
They even have their own register http://www.paulsmithmini.co.uk/

Several people have had problems with minisport, bad delivery times, nothing in stock etc, I try to use minispares as much as I can.
Love the garage by the way

Great looking project... I love how it looks.

Thanks for the comments.
Minisport - I do seem to be learning that now, to be honest I ended up looking at Huddersfield Minipares originally and had them confused with the real Minispares, and that is why I went looking for Minisport (Huddersfield do not have as big a range of bits as the other two).
The garage - I am loving it, only finished it last year, so much better than poking about in a squeezed in space. Nice having all the toys in one spot.

Originally I ordered all the parts I wanted from Minisports as I said - and got a message that they are out of stock for most of the bits I needed almost two weeks later.
So...I have ordered most of the bits from Minispares, and the balance at Huddersfield Mini Spares, even added a few extra bits!
Today - got a message that Minispares do not have the Bumper/Overrider/nudge bar kits in stock, and are not sure when they will - darn it. So... hopefully - the rest of it will be finally sent.
Huddersfield - where I am getting flares, and a couple of other little bits - was shipped the same day according to the emails, so... they seem to be on to the service side, and win in that regard so far.
Maybe I am just over excited - but I am a bit dissapointed how slow it is to get these bits dispatched to me. I still have the actual postage time to wait as well.
Also... finally got around to installing an oil pressure line - driven the car for the last few days, and tonight - ended up with oil dribbled all down the firewall by the clutch pedal - damn..... so a leak. Lucky the carpert hasnt arrived from Britain!
Will report back with progress hopefully soon.

My Group 6 flares, chrome gear knob, and chrome grill holders from Huddersfield Minispares arrived the other day. Great, prompt service from Huddersfield by the way -sent the same day and arrived quickly - I wish they had the other bits I wanted!
I promptly installed one side of the car, then run out of time.
I drove the car to work the next day, and.....just as I got to work, it isnt running properly... sounds like a burnt valve.
I limped home gently, but.. it sounds worse.
I tried removing spark plug leads, and #3 - no difference if connected or not. Checked plug, looks good.
So... whipped the head off, and hey presto - buggered head gasket - nice, easy to fix.
I got a head gasket the next day and installed - all back to normal - yay!
Tonight - installed the other side of the car. I intended to remove the flares and get my brother to paint them, but I gave them a good polish and they came up great - so... will leave them like this.
Also.. installed the chrome strip - think it all looks good:
Once I logged on to post - I see I have a message from Minispares - and all the bits are on the way... woohoo. Looking forward to getting the Mk1 Bumpers on.

I doubt it is a Paul Smith, I think they were white or Blue, it is probably just a sticker they had.

I wish to come to NZ one day, maybe even move there. My Pickup (Ute over there I think...) will be coming with me! There's strict registration rules over there isn't there?

The Escort and Cobra I have had since I was young, lower paid and single with no kids! I would struggle to buy them now.
New Zealand is a nice place to live. Bringing your ute/pickup over would not be a problem if it has been registered in your name for a couple of years I think it is.
Classic cars (older than 1985?) I think - you can import anything - anything newer has to have passed frontal impact laws tests (which the new mini did not pass).

I was thinking they had the rear screen out of a paul smith and didn't remove the sticker. Thanks - I am enjoying sorting it out.
