Hi everyone again  sorry for asking loads lol I just like to weigh up all my options before sorting something out thats all

I am thinking of getting some front driving lights at some point, but I am unsure as to if I was twin, tripple, quad etc etc Also I have noticed that you can either get a 'works bar' or just screw them into the car - which is best lol im guessing they would screw down into the metal just behind the front bumper?

What is the most common way for people to wire them in? Do most people wire them into the full beam circuit or run a individual switch for them?

Can anyone post up some photos of their setup and comment on what make they are, how good they are, how easy to fit and overal satisfaction with them

many thanks :D

Cibie Head Lights with 2 x Hella Comet 500 Spot Lights + 2 x Hella Comet 450 Fog Lights. The spots are wired into a 3 way switch, On, Off and On with Full beam.
Fogs have a standard On/Off Switch.

Very Bright! And when on dipped the cibies have a great beam pattern and are the best standard lights i have used.

4 Chrome 6 inch spots with angel eyes
Spots wired to main beam (Don't want to break the law now do we ?)& seperate switch , angel eyes wired to seperate switch so can be used all the time.
Halogen Headlights. Main beam is like driving in daylight.

spots have to be wired into headlights so when full beam is on spots come on..you may be able to get away with putting the spots on a seperte switch though not sure on that

and fog lights have to be wired up to a seperate switch altogether

Not at all, Cibie Headlights were £30 each, Comet 500 Spots were £45 each and the Comet 450 Fogs were £45 for the pair from E-bay.

Sounds like a good setup there, and may I be the first to say that your car is stunning!

What spots are they?

Back to topic, can you run spotlamps like this with a dynamo? I've had fairly mixed responses on this one

Hi I've just purchased a 1994 cooper and there are two spots mounted on the front. These dont appear to be connected to the headlights or anything else as i cannot seem to get them to come on!! I'm no expert on cars to say the least and I've not yet looked into the wiring - but is it a tricky job?

I'd like to get another two spots and have all four linked up to come on with main beam headlights?? is this possible??

I'm sure I'll be posting many more questions on the forum and any help from anyone with my first mini will be really great!!!

I've got an additional switch down by the fog switch, when off it enables to me to have 'normal' full beam, when on the spotlights will come on with the full beam.
