Yup, retrieved it from the neighbour last night. Painting an XR2 for a mate tomorrow, as part payment he's gonna be stripping James mini whilst I do his car!!

(shush though, don't tell him because its gonna be a surprise for him in the morning!!)

seems a shame to cover it up with a fiberglass kit tho....and to paint it pink!. id be fancying a nice almond green and old english white roof with some 10's on.

In just over 2 months its been transformed!! May i ask shifty, do you have a day job? because you have achieved sooo much in such a short space of time, is this just evenings and days off?

Wish you would take mine of my hands for a couple of months! Shame your to far away and i probably couldn't afford your skills!

May I ask for a bit more info on the patch you done on the roof? I assume you cut a patch out then bashed it around abit to get it to shape?

Hi Chaps, sorry for the lack of updates, Dot is ready for going for paint and has been seam sealed and stonechipped.

No pics yet sorry!!

I've just been mega busy with my real job(building sachet machines!!) to update, works died down again now so normal service has been resumed.....phew....can't be doing with this work lark, don't know what people see in it!!

Steve(monkey), I had a dolly that turned out to be pretty much an exact match for the roof curve, I just cut out the rust and then welded and blended the metal in. To be honest it wasn't that tricky, it probably took me 2/3 hrs to do.

shifty is a time lord - he can freeze time, do 3 days welding, and start time again.
