Great work, you certainly don't hang around. I'm glad mine doesn't need the full quarter panel.

Not half as much as I am!!!

After today I don't want to see another one for a while.

Yours is tucked up nice and safe in the neighbours garage now :P

Oh brilliant, thanks
Hope you didn't have too much trouble when you turned up with it on your drive without mentioning it to your wife.

I'll tell you when she starts speaking to me again!!

Well theres a queue forming for peeps who want welding so I'd better get me finger out!!

I finished fitting the rear 1/4, looks really good as well!!

Posted Image

Fitted the new rear valance and stiffeners

Posted Image

The gutter rail was looking a bit ropey so I welded it up,

Posted Image

At some time some 6x9s had been fitted to the rear shelf and the metal work had been butchered, couldn't leave it like this :D

Posted Image

Posted Image

So I fabbed up a repair patch and joddled the edges so it would sit flush and would also give a little bit of strength back as well.

Posted Image

Pleased with that, just got to do the other side and thats that done.

Jobs list is getting a lot smaller now.

Got to:-

- Finish off front end welding

- Finish off rear valance welding(welder won't reach at the mo!!)

- Repair hole in roof

- Fit and fettle passengers door

- Fit and fettle boot lid

- Fit and fettle bonnet

- Do a 1st run of filler on the shell

- Etch Prime

- Barcoat

- 2 coats of high build

Then its off to Roofless for the paint and finishing...........................Phew!!!

Not that you've got a vested interest in the list getting smaller or owt, eh James??!!!

(heh heh)

The scuttle needs fully welding around the screen, just tacked at the mo, also a few other little bits, not much really.

I should get all the welding finished and ground back tomorrow, then on Sunday its filling and sanding.

Stick some etch on it during the week and we're nearly there!!

PHEW!!!

Nor sure about the colour, I'm pretty sure its gonna be a pink purple vibe again??

I think Dot wants the body kit back on, not my taste but its not my car. All that stuffs Martins dept, he's got the paitience to mess with fibre glass. I hate it, it always melts when I try an weld it on!!!

Hopefully Dot will be along soon to confirm or deny the rumours!!

Right well, I've been busy(again!!)

Dots WILL be going to Roofless for paint this weekend so I've been pulling my finger out!!

So.......

Played with passengers side door to get the gaps spot on

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Had to go a bit of welding and grinding but the results were worth it!!

There was a little rust hole in the roof..

Posted Image

Which I promptly turned into a BIGGER hole!!!

Posted Image

And then welded up and ground down!!

Posted Image

Pleased with that as well, bit of a filler skim and you won't know its there!!

I've also welded up the other speaker hole, and started to prepare it for priming.

By the weekend it will have

- Etch prime

- Bar coat

- 2 coats High build primer.

Then its just a quick seam seal and Roofless can have it!!

Watch this space!!

Anyway, been at it again.

I've finished off the prep on the apssengers side and it looks pretty damm good!!

Posted Image

Door gap after grinding and welding.

Posted Image

Started to prep the boot lis and found a wee bit of rust, so ground it back and treated it.

Posted Image

Also 75% finished the filler on the drivers side, just gotta do the door.

Aiming to have it in etch primer on Thursday night, really looking forward to seeing it in primer, should look fantastic!!
