Forgot to mention, I'm currently in talks with Arc Angels about getting Pickup rear bumpers produced in carbon fibre, and also front overriders. Will have these and a CF front bumper if all goes well, something a little different but still keeping the retro look. Sometime in the future when I can afford some 10" split rims I want to put some black or CF Gp2 arches on, but with the Cosmics it's going to stay archless :D

Carbon bumpers and over-riders sound good - are you getting the little quarter bumpers made up or a full width one like they fitted on the really early ones? I guess a pattern would be pretty hard to come by for the full width one.

It'd be corner ones, can't get hold of a full one to copy. Will have a carbon flap down numberplate surround too. :)

:) I think it's working out cheaper for me to go cf than all new stainless, because I get a discount with arc angels due to the polycarb windows we are soon going to be doing for their slightly different doors ;) Happy Days!

Got a bit more done today...
Have tried putting the front subframe rear mounts on and the holes won't line up to the subframe  So going to leave them until I get the engine in, so there's a bit more weight to push and pull the subframe about with.

Got the new calipers and pads on though. First time I've rolled it out of the garage this year :xxx: Got the rear lights on now too, had to go for the 'later' style ones, as the early ones are a tadge on the expensive side. A new old stock complete pair just sold for over £200 on eBay. Ouch! I'll stay with the later ones... :D
Looking good I think, getting there slowly!

Got new MiniFins to go on here, but here's what the rear suspension is looking like so far...

So glad that it's a Pickup, so much room to store all the parts on! :(

Thanks
I guess some people are kinda weary with my project. 16 year old rebuilding one of the rarest Mini variants. I just want to let you all know, no chav-myster bodykit, spoiler, splitter, or stick on bonnet vents will be going anywhere near this car.
Retro is the way forward, with a little twist of modern :)
:D

Ok, angel eye headlights could be classed as Chavster material, but that's as far as it's going :( C'mon, normal Mini headlights are like candles. But worse.
Dan :xxx:

I think the angels look quite smart. But if your using them just for a bit of extra light, have you thought about Halogen ones?

Na, I like the angel ones :P They just come with a free advantage of being able to see in the dark too! :genius:
The angels are the ones that are fitted already, got the ones with 4 LEDs in, not the chunky ring ones. Just look like crystal clear lights in the day.

And cheers 'Pot. How's your's getting on? Got it back yet?

Dan :)
