Had a nice delivery of new tailgate hinges, tailgate stays and some new front door catches today >_< £150 later! Ahh! Ah well, had to be done!
Still waiting on the spray job... has to be done by Sunday because we've sold the trailer so I have no way of getting it home if it isn't done!

Wooo! It may be cheaper because it's a Pickup, I don't know really. Don't see the logic, maybe because it's rarer I'm more likely to drive it sensibly and look after it :w00t: Possibly

its because the pickup's only a 2 seater, im payin 2600 euro for my insurance on a 1275 auto!!!

really cool project, pretty much what id go for if i had the money, fair play on the progress

Yeah was just a big pile of filler  All sorted now though because... finally...

It's been sprayed! Haven't got pics uploaded yet, but will have tomorrow. It looks amazing! We spent a day and a half working on the bed to get it right, and it looks near as damn it perfect.
Can't wait to get it home and start building it, tomorrow! :teehee: Happy days!!! Mum will be happy, half my bedroom floor is covered in Mini parts at the moment ;) and the pile keeps growing as I buy more! Better start putting it all on the car then :-

yeah sorry, pics were taken in the dark and look terrible! And yes it was resprayed, by some monkey. The frontend was 1 layer of blue over bare metal and the bed was awful, so resprayed it to give it the shine it deserves. She's 30 years old on 1st december! Promise I'll have pics up tomorrow evening'

Nope, it's quite a lot darker! Wasn't too keen on the colour before, was too bright. Rather go for a darker blue and brighten it up with plenty of chrome/stainless steel (ie bumpers, over-riders, mk1 grille, mirrors etc). Would've gone for black bits 'n' bobs if I'd kept it the lighter colour.

First time I've seen it in daylight too, well chuffed. The front wings, roof and side panels have been mopped and polished, but the bed hasn't yet hence why it looks a bit hazy there.
