Started repolishing the lips on the Ultralites today. Used some autosol and 400 grit wet n dry then a cloth with some more autosol to bring up the shine. Really happy with the result so far, but is going to be one mamouth job, especially on the wheels that only have a little bit of laquer damage, more laquer to remove with the wet n dry ;)

Still need to polish that bit up even more with the autosol, but that will be a final polish when the rest is at that stage.

Certainly saves the £120 I was quoted for a professional to do it! Not going to relaquer the polished bit, it'll only fall off again. Just going to keep it polished :)

Dan :)

Nice work. I know what patience it involves since I started on Huey's a couple of years ago in a half-hearted way. As you know I solved the problem by crashing him & swapping to shiny new 10s :) The 13s will probably be for sale at Castle Combe in September at my little autojumble pitch, hint hint.
Anyway, yours are worth the effort :)

>_< Thanks :) I'm thinking it'll have to be higher for on the road, thinking bumpy pot-hole'd roads are going to hurt that low :)

:) Thanks. Just need to get the Pickup done now!! Plan is to get the windows in soon, get the magnetic sensor wired up for the speedo, interior finished ready for doors & bonnet. Then arches and done! Easy as that... :) Still determined for MiniWorld Action Day late September...

Right, started the ball rolling again today. Put an order in for a set of new tyres amongst some other stuff, will be going to get a set of arches asap as soon as the bank balance allows and should have the doors back at the start of September, just ready for rolling road then Combe...

That's the plan, although none of my plans so far have materialized but there's always a slim chance!
