They're Genesis P69 subs. They work best when run as infinite baffle (free air) so that's what I'm running them as. Very well made, and very good response. Never got the most out of them in my old car as my installation was a bit on the cheap side but even then they sounded great. Looking forward to shifting all my kit into my new mini, which actually has sound deadening and none of the rattles that the old car had.

FYI, the mini's boot isn't fully sealed. There's gaps around the rear bulkhead.

ouster, are they the genesis profile 6x9 subs? im really tempted to buy a pair, im guessing you are running them as free air subs, or are they in enclosures under the parcel shelf?


Wouldn't the Mini's boot act as an enclosure? It's small enough >_<


it would if it was sealed up properly. generally any speakers put into a parcel shelf, are 'free air' i.e there is no definate enclosure for them.
