...anyway...
looking from the underside (from in the boot), the parcel shelf looks tatty, bigtime...anyaone any tips on how to 'neat' it up? Was thinking of getting something like fine rubber arch trim and fitting it over the edge...
cheers

That's what i thought once i fitted my 6x9's in the parcel shelf...but then i gave in to "bass lust"

The parcel shelf is the best place for 6x9's, although they are a bit far away. The ultimate set up is to have 6x9's in the parcel shelf providing good high and mid frequency, and then two 6x9's under the rear seat, wired up to a smallish amp, providing a good kick in the back with bass

I disagree. A good set of components up front and a 10" sub in the back is much more ultimate.

Ah, but that takes up a lot more space. For one thing you're going to lose some of your dash space, and although a sub is more powerful it'll fill most of the boot, or will need a lot of modification to, or under, the rear seats to fit.
I always disagree with subs in a Mini unless they're 8"

ouster, are they the genesis profile 6x9 subs? im really tempted to buy a pair, im guessing you are running them as free air subs, or are they in enclosures under the parcel shelf?
Wouldn't the Mini's boot act as an enclosure? It's small enough
