How many people have made a cover for the hole behind the centre speedo in the bulk head to cut down on noise?

has yours got the centre speedo fitted? the cars with offset speedos (behind steering wheel) had blanking plates fitted over the hole.

have u got bulkhead soundproofing? if not get some , if yes, get some more and put it on the inside to??? also there is this paint that iv seen that is suppose to reduce noise by 300%

he might not have the centre speedo fitted? anyway, i gave him a suggestion on where to find a plate, which is ready made and fits

I have actually considered making a cover to seal this hole properly.

The trouble is, if it is to be anywhere near effective enough to be of use, it'll need properly sealing with dum dum or tiger seal etc. This would make changing the illumination bulbs/ wobbling the wires etc difficult.

Instead, I've filled the cavity behind mine with sponge. You can tuck it nicely into the corners and it has definately cut down on engine roar.

I made an alloy cover to fill the bulkhead hole.

The speedo cable snapped the night before the MOT because of the angle it went throught the plate, so my mate got me one from his lockup at 9pm.

The plate was removed and has lain in my garage since, there were plans for a Mk2 improved version but not sure how to stop it wrecking the cable again.

thats gotta be some good paint, i can ashure you it doesnt exsit or if it does its lieing to you lol...

but if it does exsits my dad would know (hes a sandblaster and painter) ill ask him
