I'm kind of hoping that I find a group that do stuff i.e. runs, shows etc....The "help each other out" ethos is kind of what I'm looking for also but not essential.

But, truth is 50% of being in a club is getting out what you put in, I'm sure you'll agree.

I'm not sure about that buying everyone a drink rule. Surely it should be the other way round to welcome new members?!
