It's actually Yukon grey. I was going to paint it old english white but changed my mind as you don't see that many grey minis around. It will be very unique when it's finished.

That looks awesome, mine is getting painted the same colour scheme this week ;D

Looking forward to seeing this progress

Not updated in a while but have plenty to report now that i have the shell back from the painters.

Went to minisport whilst their sale was on and bought all the remaining stuff i need for my subframes. Got 4 new rubber cones, pair of complete rear backplates, poly bushes all round, solid subframes mounts for the front, rear wheel bearings, alloy handbrake quadrants and some nice alloy 4 pots for my 10 inch wheels :proud:

Fitted a few parts to the shell and fabricated a drop bracket for the steering column.

I had the subframes sand blasted to remove the rust and old paint. They were then etch primed and sprayed yellow. Built the front subframe up as much as i could but the engine needs finishing and dropping in so i can fit the drive shafts, hubs and brakes. I'm going to lift the body over the engine/subframe as it will be easier than lifting it into the engine bay.

Also took advantge of the minispares sale and bought all the clutch parts required for the engine as well as a new alternator, hoses and braided brake hoses. Just waiting for my new flywheel to arrive from A and R Precision on ebay and i can fit the clutch to the engine

Meanwhile, i built up the rear subframe and fitted it yesterday. Didn't manage to fit the handbrake cables though.

Have also mocked up the carbon fibre dash. Not an easy job and i had to fabricate my own mounts to secure it to the lower dash rail.

This looks lovely!

As for getting featured, just give the magazine you would like it to be in a ring. Think mini magazine have a bit you can send to them at the back of the mag to get featured.
