Hi
Can you tell me how to tell the difference between 1000cc and 1300cc mini engine as someone took a look at my mini yesterday and said it looked like a 1300.I bought it believing it was a 1000cc.Any help would be great thanks

There are covers on the back of 998's to access the followers, also will say 99h (998) or 12h (1275) on engine number.

Both sound obvious but not always the case, a decently set up 998 can be much better and quicker than a badly running 1275. And it may well say on the V5 but engines can be changed and not recorded.
Does the engine have a number on the front right side, just below the rocker cover? If so it will start with 99 for a 998 or 12 for a 1275. If not then there are a few other clues, try the engine number first.

Thats brilliant thanks a lot its a 998cc thank goodness didnt want to pay anymore insurance cheers guys
