Well the discs were around 1 month old, and done around 500 miles, so should get away with buying the one disc.

Where did you get the disc from?

Ahh good point, I don't want the other too do the same. I can't remember where I got them from, I think it was at a show a while ago and fitted them around a month ago.

Im not sure what broke first though, the disc or the caliper.

Replace both discs, get some proper ones from minispares or minisport.

If one did it there is a good chance the other will too.

Oke doke, makes sense anyway.

Got a new brake caliper lined up aswell. I'll get a new set of pads aswell.

Im not too bothered about the mechanics of it because they can be fixed easily, IM gutted about the massive dent in my wing!!!!!!!! >_<

Basically whatever you replaced at the time needs to be replaced again, be very sure when you mention where you got them from, you need to be sure?

There looks to be some scoring on that disc and it looks like it has overheated too in the past.

Nope definatly off minispares, came with pads aswell. They realy stopped the car well.

Yes, they have got hot before, i've had brake fade with them. Hmmmm I did buy them a good time ago maybe 18 months now. SO won't realy be able to arue it. Only fitted around a month ago though.

Did you bed them in? If they've only been on a month they've done some heavy braking to get that colour. Someone with some technical metallurgy know-how may be able to tell which bit killed the other by looking at the broken bits. The manufacturer ought to be interested.

Glad you're ok, thats a curse on that roundabout!!
Anyway..
Cant be that groved just after 500 miles, those are cheap chinese discs, are made of chocolate. Get the proper quality discs from minispares, they arent expensive too, difference is about 10 pounds..
But its still strange it got broken that way, i'd replace the caliper aswell and carefully inspect the hub for any damage.

It would appear the disc came apart, move away from the central point, cam around and hit the caliper. Im only guessing here though. But this is what appeards to have happened.

Now bedding in, teach me about this, I drove around slowly with a small amount of brake preasure.

I never realy thought much about it.

I have to replace the caliper, the mount has snapped on it.

Im just as confused as too why it broke.
