Whats The Best Seam Sealer?

I am wondering, what is the best or recommended seam sealer, which when applied, can penetrate the seams without a gooey mess on the outside? One of the things I need to do is seam seal the door step/sill flanges, and I need good sealant penetration here without lots of mess on the outside.
I have coated the bare metal areas first with U-POL Self etch primer, and then want to seal on top of the etched joints.
I already have some seam sealer (U-POL red strip). Is this any good, or should I change it? Also, is is recommended to use seam sealer in tube or brush on form?

once removed (straight after you've applied the sealer and smoothed it down) you'll have a nice neat finish.
Make sure it's completely cured before shooting the primer over it or the edges will lift.

Hi. I have just received my Tiger seal in the post, and I notice that they are sealed in a metal tube. Can i use this in an adhesive gun (same one you use for bathroom sealants etc). i know it sounds like a silly question, but i notice the end of the tiger tubes are just flat metal, and i cannot see any plunger. Is this some kind of seal on the end that needs to be broken??tiger seal in a tube
easy to apply and over paintable
best i have found
Cheers

I mean on the bottom end, it looks like its just covered over. Also, when i shake it, it seems to have sand in there!
