Sorry if this is in the wrong area.
Yes - I did do a search but i couldnt find what I was looking for.
I need a few niggly bits welding, the drivers side sill, and a few tiny holes here and there.
Does anyone know any fair priced and quality welders in the Birmingham area that will come to me to quote?
(Need to come to me as the car is not driveable atm)
Thanks for any help

could try collins motor service or could also try old skool minis as those are the only two i can think of in the Brum area
whether they can come to visit and quote you at your home im not sure, you will have to ring up and ask.
theres also someone called kirk on here who does welding and the like but hes in bridgnorth

DWS, Direct Welding Services based in Cannock Staffordshire, welded some areas on mine and did a great job very good welder.
Would definitely recommend, and now does re-sprays as well.

I'd thoroughly recommend BI autos in Halesowen - lovely old bloke who restores Morris Minors and runs a great garage with his son.
(never go anywhere else for you MOT because they "understand" if you know what I mean...)
I've had a few welding bits done there - sixpence and good work.
But it depends whereabouts in Brum you are, if you want them to come to you to quote it's going
to have to be worth their while whoever it is. What exactly do you need done ?
Can't fault Collins Motor Services and for Mini specific things I would always use them but almost any old garage
can sort you out for a bit of welding.
Personally I would never go near Old Skool Minis because they just like money. (and that will be YOUR money).
Had a couple of experiences there that seemed to follow a pattern of "quote you one price - then double it when it comes to collection".
Won't ever trust them again. (£18 for a radius arm pin? On which planet does that make sense) ?
Been there twice and twice they've tried to rip me off badly. The second time I simply refused to pay the stupid price they
were demanding (and hadn't quoted).
For me they represent the worst face of the motor trade.
Sorry - am I ranting ?
(some other people say they're great). So some people like Chocolate Ice Cream, some like Pistachio.
I like Tutti Fruiti but I don't like being over charged and ripped off.
Damn - I really am ranting...
Just slide down to your local place - most garages will be able to sort you out a bit of welding. And if you are there while it's
being done (a very good idea) you'll most likely get a pukka job for the right price.
Best wishes
Monty
