heres mine i love it its made by thule given to me in its original box by an uncle who had it in the 70s

ive still got the box and i love it they make great mounting points for run plaques too

well it looks like 22mm copper pipe is actually quite strong, measured the roof and you would need 7 lengths of 22mm x 2mtre piping, £10 a pipe. Also need 22 T-Pieces £25, 10 pipe clips £6, 4 metre strips of wood £10 so that's over £100 already. Benefits are it would be very easy to knock up with justa bit of souldering and it would be light but it wouldn't be able to take much weight so good for looks and probably would take my mountain bike laying down across it but nothing more than that...which to be honest is all i wanted it for. i

It would also look pretty cool and would be bigger than the ones available to buy! Basicaly like a full length cage!

...May as well just buy one for £135 though !?!?

Old Ford and VW roof racks, cheap on eBay, fit perfectly.
