Myspace, very much like facebook, bebo, etc is a social networking site where people create their own "space" (profile) with a bit about themselves with pictures, interests, hobbies, etc and add people they know as "friends". Basically just a tool to keep in touch with/get to know people I guess.

Facebook is much better though.
