Solved the leak caused by fitting his new headlining last Saturday. Windscreen seal had been split in the process.

Popped to Oldskool, who had a minor war finding a new seal that fitted and getting Monty to accept it. (He's a temperamental little sod at times) Got it fitted. So no wet feet when driving in the rain now >_<

Paid in liquid currency.

Went to Tesco, did some shopping... and got agitated at some numpty wanting to wash/scratch Monty to death and charge me a fiver for it. Told him to hop off and made an agreement to get my aft out of bed early tomorrow and clean the poor lil thing.

Checked vacuum lines and elbow joints, decided they where broked, ordered new ones.

Fitted lambda sensor, what a pain, getting your hands down back of engine only removing the throttle body and inlet isnt easy, not to mention fitting a spanner down!! Though next time it will be easier as we now have a specially modified lambda sensor spanner (we cut one in half so it would fit down back of engine) but dont worry we have another two the same size for all other jobs >_< :)

Gave him a good wash and polish.

Dropped mine off at the bodyshop where it'll be returned to tip-top condition with a retro look to it-can't wait!

Today I realised I'm gonna miss Crich, sent Floyd off to have his sills seen to and that's pretty much it!

The 25, nothing but stick petrol in one end and drive it, although the gearbox has been making funny noises.

Mayfair, you must be joking right, haven’t done anything, apart form use it as extra storage space for the last few months.

Instead I had to move my new gf mini from it’s old home to it’s new one, didn’t go too badly apart from the fact it wouldn’t idle at anything below 2k, the indicators stopped working and the gear linkage is a luck dip. >_<

So my job/s for tomorrow (today) give it a good wash and polish as it’ been sat outside under some trees for a good few months.
Play around with the idle and gear linkage so it’s actually drivable.
Fix the indicators and generally give it a good going over inside and out.

ive had the car for coming up to 4 years, but because ive been a student in that time i havent accumulated any wealth to put into the car. Blew most of my money insuring it and for petrol.

fitted 4 6x9's, two in the parcel shelf and two under the rear seats, with a Pioneer head unit. Bass is decent but i'll improve on it when i get some more cash :) . Fitted clear front and side indicators, chrome grille, clear lenses on the taillights, swapped the ugly steel wheels for 12x5 minilites (im hoping to get 12x6 deep dishers, anyone who's got a set for sale PM me) got myself some custom mats with the Mini logo and my name stitched on them >_<...oh, and i painted my brake calipers at the front blue. starting to regret it though, the colour doesnt match well.

Sanded the sills down & repainted with hammerite smooth.

Stripped the shoddy fitting carpets out, stripped out the underfelt stuff, found loads of little holes, filled the holes, sanded the filler, resprayed the floor and bench frame, stood back admired my work, smoked a B&H then drank some tea with some lovely dunkable foxes butter crinkle biscuits. Days work done now for a curry and wait for top gear.

Today I gave my little trailer the ERA treatment. It now looks less like a Cooper sport and more like an ERA :-
