Hi, I've got one just the same age and colour. Currently in a state of chopping rust out and like yours, theres lots of it.

That boot floor corner looks familiar. I've just spent half of this afternoon tackling mine

Good luck....

looks nice... glad to see you havnt got silly sportspack arches (no offence anyone lol), but yeh 13" wheels will make the ride a little worse, and handle a lot worse as standard.

that aint too much of a pup at all, and if its a rsp then good on ya :D... no need for a reshell by the looks of it...

hope it goes well...

Go for some 10" wheels with cooper s discs, then put on sale the 13" and the 8,4" brakes, you should sell em easily.
Better looking, better handling, less suspension issues and a less harsh ride.
Just to give you an idea, have a look at the 10" wheels thread, they look so sweet..

Great looking car, I'm really glad you going to restore it.
Should be great
Get some pics on here as the work is being done :)

I did the same sort of thing with mine, Bought it six moths ago as my first car, broke down on the way home, realised it was rusty, and dismantled it to restore it before I have even passed my driving test.
Just don't get carried away modifying it like I have done. Yours is perfect as it is (minus rust and in fully working order)
