hi all bit of a nubie question im afraid.
used to spraying celly for a few years but have heard amazing things about 2k so going to give it a go. have big compressor force fed mask and a will to live
but want to know can i use 1k filler primer with 2k paint or does it need to be 2k primer

i used 2k metallic red on top of 2k epoxy primer worked really well and epoxy even if its not the healthiest product out their it is tough as old boots
we use it at work to prime lorry frames when we rebuild them

I think the rules goes you can spray 2k over celly but not the other way around?

did think with it being an epoxy it would only take over epoxy

No that applies to synthetic, 2k will go over anything

I wish! Had a bad reaction with 2k over an aerosol can from Halfords.No that applies to synthetic, 2k will go over anything

2 pack should go over any other type of paint...
Maybe you got some silicon between the halfords paint and the 2pack.

2k will go over anything as said, but put celly etc over 2k it will react.

Generally I stick to 2K high build primer with 2k top coat or basecoat depending on what you are spraying. 2K doesn't always go over anything I have had on several occasions had a reaction with 2k over rattle can primer. (Panels prepped by other people) All wiped down with panel with etc,etc. Have used barcoat in the past to stop it.hi all bit of a nubie question im afraid.

Generally 2k paint is great to use & can be applied a lot thicker than celly.
