I HAVE A SET OF ULTRALITE EVOLUTION 6X10s SHOD WITH FALKEN FK-07Es (165/70x10) all tyres now need replacing but I can't find anywhere that can even get the old tyres off without damaging the rims, I have cut one tyre off but can't a new one fitted intact. So far 1 wheel and 2 new tyres have been destroyed and another wheel and tyre are damaged, along with the arm on a guys tyre changer. Spoke to a *melon* at Ultralite and he denies all knowledge of these wheels. Has anybody else encountered these wheels ?Attached File  DSC00314.JPG   88.86K   18 downloads

Only someones stuck an Ultralite centre cap on them and i believe they are a nightmare to fit and remove tyres

i've not been fiting tires for long but i work as tire fitter and a common mistake for alot of tirefitters are trying to take tires off upside down rims the wrong way up. just wondering if they are and the guy tryed it? and also if they know there gona be a B**ch to take off they should take precautiuons like but a plastic rim garud on the edge of the wheel, so if somet dose happen they got a secong chance or atleast a bit of cardborad between the machine head and rim. they should put loads of soap inside the rim/beed and also on the head of the tire machine arm and take time to set the maschine up right. also can i ask if they had a newer mashine with the extra airpowerd arms to help with keping the tire in the right place meaning the tire has romm to stretch off the wheel................. such as this ---- http://www.bestbuyau...GERR26EX-2T.jpg

because those extera arms make the differance beteewn nakerd rim and tire...........
also dont go to quick fit look around as quick fit may be quick but there also quick and dodgy asin fit unsafe riped tires on inside edge of the beed, these tires are unsafe and can cause serious acidents. they also sell out of date tires asin manufaturers say tires have a ten year shelf life, in this country theres no laws against selling out of date tires but rubber perishes over time meaning the tires could be deemed unsafe. pursonaly i wouldent fit out of date tires but alot of places do there are charts on internet for differant manufacturers dot numbers this shows u where there tire will have been produced asin (factory) and when normaly last four digets are when it was produced...... but thats going abit of subject sorry if i dident help :ermm:

They are definately Ultralites, I've still got the catalogue that I ordered them from and, the invoice, which is why the *melon* at Ultralite has infuriated me, furthermore, it seems that these wheels were only on the market for a short time before being withdrawn. I wonder why !

where did you order them from because a search of the ultralite website does not show those type of wheels

edit: just seen what you typed above lol.

maybe you could scan the page with the alloys on and post it up in here would be interesting to see this

well unless ultralite make revolution wheels i am really confused. because those are exactly identical to the revolutions.
but ultralite have just renamed then evolution haha wierd

that is pretty baffling to be honest

I thought that like, minilites were a style, revolutions were a style, minators were a style and ultralites were a style.
I think theyre like, copies of revolutions, because theyre called evolutions, which is similar...
im pretty sure a good tyre changing place can do it properly to be honest, it is only changing a tyre. >_<

try changing 22" range rover crome allys without scratching the rim or tareing the tire i did yester day took 3 hours to do four wheels they were verry hard the tires so tight on the rim so much pressurer on the machine its crazy most standerd rims are easy but big rims had the new bini perelli runflats are a :- to change and suprisingly small mini wheels with wide tread are hard to change i fit alot of mini 10x6 wheels and the tires can split/tair esily on thos and damage the rim................... the cheaper the alloys and cheaper the rubber harder to fit is what i always say

I think they are identical to MWS Revolites, in which case you have to get someone with a special machine to put the tyre on dead flat, literally stretch the tyre from the middle outwards and place over the wheel. Midland Wheels do it. :-

i've heard of problems before with tyres being fitted to wheels, beleive it was some 10" minilites from midland wheels.

outcome of it was Midland wheels are pretty much the only people capable of changing the tyres due to them having a special machine, i know that only really helps if your wheels were from midlands, which it doesnt appear they were....
