firstly, from a health and safety perspective this is not safe, your trying to make a tyre with a width of 6 inches fit onto a wheel of 7 inches, ill let you do the maths, always fit the correct type and size of tyre for the relevant wheel, its just not worth the risk!

http://www.tyrestretch.com/

The stretched tyres arnt too small diameterwise just on width
tyres these days have incredibly strong sidewalls also when you run higher pressure in your tyres they seem fine
if you want to see dangerous check out some off the extreme ones on the website

im running pirelli p7000 165x55x13 and they seem fine :D
i love it as im the only one i know off running stretch on a mini :P

Not something i would run out of choice, especially seeing as they look so awful! coming for the dub scene tho, thats pretty mild stretch.

if you are refering to a 175/50/13 tyre on to 7x13 rim then it will be OK. if less than 175 section, then its not recommended (although possible and will drive fine)

if you want looks then go for it. if you want handling, then avoid

running 175's on a 7" rim can make the car feel very twitchy.
