This is what seems to still be available for 4 stroke engines, you need to find out more before using it in a Mini though.
Castrol Classic R40, 4 Litres
A high performance castor based engine oil with distinctive Castrol 'R' aroma suitable for 4 stroke engines. SAE40
Price: £34.03 (£39.13 Including VAT at 15%)
http://www.ar-sheldo..._Gear_Oils.html
"A castor based lubricant which is primarily designed for the racing world; however its unique properties can also benefit private owners interested in high performance.
Never mix Castrol R40 with mineral based or synthetic crankcase oils"
http://www.castrol.c...ntentId=7027099
As above once you fill your engine with Castrol R I don't think you can change back to normal mineral or synthetic oils without stripping and cleaning the engine/gearbox?
Some people say a teaspoonful or two of castor oil in your petrol tank will create the required smell!

why would it be illegal though?
Because it gives of an smell even though its an nice smell but also it gives of too much smoke unlike standanrd oils so its band for road use

still, why not just go for a decent racing oil like valvoline and be glad you dont have to spend £130 a tub

Not really worth running your car on this, especially on an everyday car. It gets quite thick when cold and i believe in the winter you need to warm the oil to be able to turn the engine over and start the car.
