Looked fantastic in paint though. Really impressed.
You got any further with it?

but that hasn't stopped me getting it on the subframes and getting the master cylinders, lines and steering column in:
one to show how much wider it is now:
and some of the doors, bonnet and boot:
it goes for a flat and polish after its all back together (in case I catch the paint with something) but its looking great, I'm dead happy with it!
as always, comments appreciated!
thanks for looking, Tom.

looking good mate!!! im glad youve done what i forgot todo on my build, which was to put the brake lines in first! lol i forgot and to say it was a PITA is an understatment as its still not done lol, still got to tighten down the 3 was join on the front subby (with the bolt going the through the middle of the 2 way bit you no what i mean lol) im guesing once its all done up tight its all meant to be tight and the brass bit that 2 other pipes bolt into shouldnt move side to side (as mine does at the moement) the joys of haveing an engine in the way grrrr lol
keep it up matey you'll be driving him/her before you no it!!

yeah I know the one, need to sort mine, with the bolt fully tight its still a bit loose, might need to get a bigger washer, not sure what happened to it because it was fine before

I'm really bad at updating this....
but I have been working on it, quite a lot actually!
engine picked up:
and put in:
mk2 lights in:
number plate hanger and screen in:
(hinged at the top so it swings like a proper mk1/2 one)
centre clock loosely in place, need to attach it better:
engine with all the other bits on it:
side showing how it looks now:
after replacing the coil and a bit of messing with the fuel pump, it started and is running pretty nicely! really happy with it!
comments welcome, Tom

err yeah, wheels are a little too wide, and its so low that fairly elaborate ramps were required to get it out of the garage to be jump started..... have raised the back 20mm, going to do the fronts tomorrow, hopefully that will eliminate the wheel catching, or else I'm going to have to cut it

3 years makes a lot of difference eh?
few more:
done a show in it now and everything:
pretty much just sorting out little bits and buying shiny parts left now. very happy with it!
thanks for reading, Tom
(apologies for the shocking quality of phone pictures)
